Hola! I am Angelique and director of Ballet Folklorico Fiesta Latina of Victoria, founded in 2013. Over the years, we have performed at several community-wide festivals and events to showcase the beauty of our diverse Mexican and Latin culture through traditional dance and music. Just like everyone else, we are struggling through this global pandemic. We have had all of our performances cancelled or postponed. We have been self-isolation dancing in Victoria and the surrounding area and we want to continue to do so! We are practicing social distancing and trying our best to do classes online. We decided to put together a video to share with our community to help promote cultural awareness during these difficult times. For us to be able to dance is a wonderful experience; it doesn’t matter your age or background, it is for everyone! We hope you enjoy.
