In late October, British Columbia will play host to a delegation of businesspeople from Mexico as part of the Mexican Trade Mission to Canada. The delegation is made up of business owners and senior executives from a wide array of sectors including, but not limited to clean technologies, IT, creative industries, mining, agri-foods, recycling, and services. The weeklong mission will kick off in Vancouver before moving on to the dynamic and entrepreneurial cities of Nanaimo and Victoria.
The mission is being organized by CMX Partnerships, a proud BC-based company. CMX specializes in promoting trade, investments, and business opportunities between Canadian companies and counterparts abroad. The Trade Mission aims to bring Canadian and Mexican businesspeople together, with a focus on stimulating trade and investment in British Columbia, creating new and long-lasting BC-Mexico partnerships, as well as deepening the integration of the Mexican and Canadian business communities. The Mexican trade mission to Canada is lead by Mr. Juan Navarro, The Director and Principal researcher of CMX Partnerships, who has extensive experience promoting initiatives Canada-Mexico, conducting trade research in the Asia Pacific region, and encouraging international trade and business overall.
Business leaders, entrepreneurs and the public interested in promoting greater commercial ties between British Columbia and Mexico are cordially invited to join CMX Partnerships, the Mexican delegates, and local businesses for The CMX Dialogue on October 25, 2022, at the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel in Downtown Vancouver. The event is a jampacked half-day of networking, panels and presentations , meant to stimulate cooperation between BC and Mexican businesses. The event will run from 9:00AM to 2:00PM.
The trade mission to Canada is curated by CMX Partnerships with the valuable support of various public and private sector organizations namely the City of Vancouver, the Consulate General of Mexico in Vancouver, the Surrey Board of Trade (SBOT), the Vancouver Island Economic Alliance (VIEA), the South Island Prosperity Partnership (SIPP), the Foreign Trade Zone of Vancouver Island (FTZVI), the 2022 State of the Island Economic Summit, as well as more institutions continuing to show interest to get involved in this initiative.
